Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Mental Health

Comments: No Comments

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and a time when many people remember lost loved ones. The annual worldwide campaign helps to raise awareness of the fact that in the UK alone, 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer every year. If you have lost someone special to breast cancer you can show your support by hosting a Big Pink event and by getting involved with charity work. Whatever you do, helps to make a difference.

Remembering A Loved One.

There will naturally be many moments when you want to remember someone special. Not everyone experiences grief in the same way, and this can include feelings, emotions and behaviour. Remembering and honouring someone special to you is a personal thing that many people choose to experience privately. Special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries can evoke more memories than at other times of the year, and therefore some people find it comforting to mark these dates with a remembrance activity.

Occasion Markers.

There are many ways in which you can honour your loving memories of your mother, sister, other relative or friend, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Celebrate their life by remembering your loving connection in whatever way brings you joy and comfort.

  • Create a memory box, and store personal items like photographs, letters, cards and small objects that remind you of someone you love.
  • Plant some bulbs in a special spot in your garden so that you have a seasonal flowering reminder of their continued presence in your life.
  • Write a heartfelt message and tie it to a helium balloon, before releasing and letting it soar up into the sky.
  • Share your memories with other family members and friends, and together compile a life story to treasure.
  • Buy a new frame for your favourite photograph and display it somewhere you will see it every day.
  • Cook their favourite meal and share it with other people who also wish to celebrate your loved one’s presence.

Spiritual Assistance.

The death of a one loved is one of the most painful and stressful experiences a person can experience in life. To help cope with the overwhelming grief some people turn to mediums for answers, comfort and support during this difficult time. Grief however, can sometimes create a barrier that blocks your connection with your loved one in the afterlife. When you are ready to communicate with your loved one, they may not be ready to communicate with you. When grief is no longer raw is the best time to consult a medium, if you wish to reconnect in this spiritual way. Your loved one is always around you, and may be giving you signs that show that they want to communicate with you. Watch for photo frames being knocked down, finding coins in strange places, their favourite songs playing on the radio, and for messages in dreams. Knowing that your loved one is in good hands on the other side is sometimes all that you need to know. To reconnect with someone dear to you, call one of our experienced psychic mediums today.
