Need some tips for dating a Scorpio? We understand! Scorpios can be mysterious souls, but there are some surprises! And once you get to know them and work out what makes them tick, you’ll experience a deep and romantic love that you never knew was possible. 

Accept the mystery 

A Scorpio is a fixed water sign, which means that they are VERY deep, but also a little closed at times. They can come across as mysterious but really they are just cautious about what information they share and who they let into their inner circle. That can be a good thing though, because once you’re in, you’ll learn more and more about them. Patience is your friend. 

Be loyal 

Because of the deep watery nature of a Scorpio, they can be a little mistrusting and might even try to suss you out from afar before opening up to you. This is because they highly value loyalty and typically do not give second chances to people who betray them. If you are willing to prove your loyalty by being consistent, honest and authentic, most of them will give you that same eternal loyalty back. 

Stand your ground 

Scorpio is traditionally ruled by Mars, making them powerful creatures to behold. Coupled with their fixed nature, they have a great deal of stamina, assertiveness and resilience, making them hella sexy, but also sometimes a bit heavy-handed or stubborn. If you want to dance with a Scorpio, you have to stand your ground on the things you want sometimes, instead of just letting them dominate. They’ll respect you all the more for it. 

Open your mind 

Scorpio’s modern ruler is Pluto, the Lord of the Underworld, and their birthday falls at Halloween, which is probably where all the stereotypes of spookiness come from! This is just another way of showing how much transformative magic a Scorpio has. They are the phoenix rising from the ashes or the reclusive artist painting his soul’s urges onto canvas. A Scorpio is best suited to someone equally creative, open minded and accepting of all elements of them – light and dark. 

Prepare to be surprised 

Scorpio is perhaps one of the most stereotyped of all the zodiac signs, and if you want my number one top tip for dating a Scorpio, it’s to let go of all your expectations and assumptions and prepare to be surprised. There are all kinds of Scorpios – quiet and brooding or loud and sparkly, artistic and edgy or sweet and sensuous, and sometimes all of that in just one person! So if you really want to bag a Scorpio, just be yourself and let them be all sides of them too.
